Every year, the Institution conducts Awareness Week focusing on socially relevant and thought-provoking themes. This year, the chosen theme is “It is the Constitution, That Unites Us All”, emphasising the importance of unity, equality, and democratic values enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
The inaugural day commenced with a special morning assembly, where the Principal addressed the students and highlighted the significance, structure, and essence of the Indian Constitution.
Following the address, teachers and students came together to recite Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic poem “Where the mind is without fear”, echoing the spirit of freedom and vision that our Constitution upholds. Later in classrooms, students engaged in a recap session about the Constitution and
participated in a creative activity by preparing “Punch Sheets.” These sheets included their thoughts and expressions about the Constitution and handwritten versions of Tagore’s poem, reinforcing their understanding in a reflective and artistic way. The entire atmosphere was filled with patriotism, pride, and a renewed sense of unity — truly bringing the Constitution alive in the hearts of young minds.
Day 2
The second day carried forward the spirit of constitutional pride with engaging classroom activities and creative expressions. The day began with the Vice Principal’s insightful session where he spoke passionately about the Preamble of the Indian Constitution and the immense sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. His words inspired students to reflect on the values that bind us as a nation.
Following this, Class 9 students Riddhima Vachchami and Ananya Chaturvedi presented a brief recapitulation of Day 1, reminding everyone of the key learnings from the opening day. In the classroom activity session, teachers across various sections conducted interactive lessons on the Preamble and freedom fighters, explaining their significance in shaping modern India. The day concluded with classrooms buzzing with creativity, learning, and a renewed sense of respect for the ideals enshrined in our Constitution.
Day 3
The third day continued to enrich students’ understanding of the Indian Constitution with a special focus on the key ideals that form its foundation. The day began with Shivalika Ma’am’s enlightening session, where she beautifully explained the meaning and importance of the first four words of the Preamble — Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, and Democratic. Her explanation helped students understand how these powerful words define the essence of our nation.
After that, Class 9 students presented a brief recapitulation of the previous day’s activities, highlighting key learnings and takeaways. During the classroom activity, teachers gave a detailed explanation of each word in the Preamble and their relevance in today’s context. Students then reflected their understanding through engaging tasks. The day successfully deepened students’ awareness of the foundational principles of the Indian Constitution, making learning interactive, meaningful, and inspiring.
Day 4
Day 4 focused on the core constitutional values that shape our nation — Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. The day commenced with impactful session by the teachers, where they explained the meaning and importance of these four ideals as mentioned in the Preamble. The explanation encouraged students to reflect on how these values guide us in creating a just and inclusive society.
This was followed by an engaging brainstorming session where students shared their understanding and real-life examples related to these principles.Senior classes participated in a thoughtful MCQ activity, testing and enhancing their knowledge of constitutional values. Classes IX and X showcased their creativity and understanding by making collages that highlighted the themes of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity, using powerful visuals and messages.
Day 5
On the fifth day the students delved deeper into the pillars of our Constitution. The theme focused on Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, and the Directive Principles of State Policy — the moral and philosophical backbone of governance in India. The teachers addressed the students during the morning assembly and explained the essence of our Fundamental Rights — the rights that empower and protect every citizen, the Fundamental Duties — the responsibilities we owe to our nation, and the Directive Principles — guiding values for the state to ensure social and economic justice. Her words inspired students to not only know their rights but also practice their duties in
daily life. Later, in their respective classes, students engaged in a range of activities related to the topics, activities like debate on “Are citizens today more focused on their rights than their duties?”, a case study analysis, story session and drawing activity where they illustrated “My Right and My Responsibility” in colourful posters. The session was a powerful reminder that democracy flourishes when rights and duties go hand-in-hand, and when citizens remain conscious of the vision the Constitution holds for a just and equitable India.
Day 6
Day 6
With the focus on the theme of “Becoming a Responsible Citizen.” The morning assembly began on an insightful note with emphasises on the essence of being a responsible citizen. The teachers mentioned, “The Constitution is our guidebook, but to truly follow it, we must begin by adhering to the small rules around us—whether at school, home, or in society.” His words encouraged students to reflect on their actions and take personal responsibility in everyday life. To refresh and reinforce the previous day’s learnings, Riddhima and Ananya from Class X confidently presented a short yet impactful recapitulation session. Today’s focus is on helping students understand the importance of responsible citizenship. This is being done creatively through a poem recital on civic duties and values.

The students of Class VII & VIII were taken out for an offsite tour to a Theme park showcasing creative models made from waste materials, teaching valuable lessons on recycling and innovation. The guides shared fascinating facts about dinosaurs and environmental conservation.
Students participated eagerly, asking questions and noting down important points. It was a perfect combination of fun and learning. The trip turned out to be a memorable experience, and everyone returned with happy hearts and enriched knowledge. Everyone look forward to more such interesting and exciting excursions in the future!

The students dressed in their formal best along with their parents attended the event. The wonderful poignant evening reinforced the unshaken bond of the student, teacher and alma mater. Pearls of wisdom and unstinting blessings for the students were showered by the heads; the Director, Mrs. Reeta Khanna, Mrs. Sangita Middha
and the Principal, Mrs. Sudha Khurana.
The school choir teachers added melody to the occasion. The Spring Dale hallmark of appreciating each child was transcended as Commendation Certificates. These certificates were awarded to each student of class XII by their teachers in the presence of their parents, making all proud. Yummy eatables, memorable pictures, treasured mementos, laughter and tears leaving an indelible mark for all.

The 76th Republic Day celebration was a memorable event marked by patriotic fervour and unity. The ceremony began with the flag hoisting by Director Mrs. Khanna, followed by a soulful rendition of melodious songs by the school choir.
The students sang the National Anthem and National Song in unison, their voices echoing in harmony across the campus. The event also witnessed the Investiture Ceremony, where the old office bearers ceremoniously passed on their baton to the newly elected leaders of the 2025-26 batch, to carry on the legacy of responsibility and leadership. The day was a beautiful blend of tradition, pride, and commitment to the nation’s values.

“Patriotism is not just a word; it’s a way of life that binds us in unity and purpose.” With this spirit, we celebrated the 78th Independence Day with a series of events that filled the campus with pride and patriotism. The festivities began with the flag hoisting by the President of Spring Dale Institution, who delivered a powerful message of always putting the nation first. Following the flag hoisting, students from classes II and III showcased their talents with performances of patriotic songs and poems that resonated with love for the nation.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, the tiny tots, dressed as freedom fighters, introduced themselves with pride, embodying the spirit of our national heroes. The day was also marked by creative activities like coloring, drawing, and crafts for students from PG to class III, all centered around the theme of independence. The event concluded with the entire school uniting in a medley of patriotic songs, reminding everyone that ‘True patriotism lies in our commitment to a better and brighter India’; The celebration was a powerful tribute to our nation’s journey of freedom, leaving a lasting impression of unity and pride among the Spring Dale community.
