The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm, the school premises wore a festive look in the patriotic colours.

The crisp March Past and the vibrant dance performance evoked a feeling of patriotism amongst everyone present in the premises. A true salute to the nation on this festive occasion. A very happy Republic Day to all.

The 54th Founder’s Day of Spring Dale Institution was celebrated with gratitude and enthusiasm. Paying tribute to our founders Sir B S Sood and Ma’am Krishna Sood, the day was dedicated to the helping staff for their untiring efforts for the growth of the institution.

The day was marked by paying homage to the founders, followed by various fun activities. It was a day well spent for the entire staff. The warmth of their enjoyment brought smiles to all the individuals present.

Spring Dale College resonated with joy as it celebrated its much anticipated “Roshni Celebration – A Children’s Festival”. The school echoed with joy as students and staff alike immersed themselves in a day filled with festivities.

The day was marked with a heartfelt tribute to the college’s esteemed Founder Mother, Ma’am Krishna Sood, whose vision and dedication have been the guiding light for the institution. Students paid homage through speeches, poems, and musical performances, highlighting her pivotal role in shaping the school’s ethos. The entire campus buzzed with excitement as the Roshni celebration transformed into a children’s festival. Every class and section participated in various activities that not only entertained but also educated. Board decorations adorned the corridors, narrating the school’s journey under Ma’am Krishna Sood’s guidance.

Flower decorations added a touch of elegance, symbolising the blossoming growth nurtured by the founder. Cooking without fire showcased the culinary skills of students, fostering creativity and teamwork. Art took centre stage with painting and sketching activities. Students explored Mandala, Madhubani, and calligraphy, each stroke narrating a story of cultural richness. These artistic endeavors reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education, nurturing not just academic excellence but also a deep appreciation for culture and heritage.

Roshni Celebration, was not just a festival; it was an embodiment of gratitude,
creativity, and unity. As the echoes of laughter and the vibrant hues of art lingered in the air, it was evident that the celebration had not only illuminated the physical spaces but also ignited the hearts of every Dalian.

Winter came alive at Spring Dale School, Gomti Nagar premises on the bright sunny Sunday morning of 17th December 2023, witnessing the much awaited Winter Carnival – a joyous celebration marking the up gradation of the school to ISC and the introduction of humanities stream.

The carnival offered all age- groups a great opportunity to have fun, frolic, a reason to smile, relax and unwind. The Spring Dalians along with their family members and friends came in multitudes to be a part of this fun and food extravaganza. The carnival buzzed with excitement, featuring a delightful array of food stalls, game booths, an artsy corner, a tattoo station, and more. The tiny toddlers were seen waiting eagerly for their turn to have a funny ride at the Mickey Mouse bounce.

Our esteemed directors inaugurated the festivities, marking another memorable chapter in the school’s history. The zest and zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made the Winter Carnival 2023 a memorable one! The event culminated with the lucky draw. It was a grand success, creating some magical and memorable moments with near and dear ones to cherish.

Looking ahead and moving with the times has always been The Vision and Mission of Spring Dale .With this thought a personal enrichment workshop was organised for the teachers on 2nd December 2023.
The theme in sync with the NEP 2020 was ‘Assessment Strategy from the foundation to the middle stage’ and was taken by none other than Shree Ashok Ganguly  ex chairman CBSE, a policy maker and mentor to thousands of students and teachers.  He started the session with a need for a radical transformation in teaching and learning, due to the accelerated  development in all the dimensions of education. Today’s need is innovation not discovery. The one size fits all education system, needs a total revamp.  The academic scenario requires not good but great teachers and he gave tips for the same. Mr. Ganguly summarised the NEP with a ten point program, stressing on CPD for teachers.  Assessment strategy in the foundational to middle stage, requires a shift from summative to formative was another highlight of the workshop.
The three cardinal principles of framing a good question paper, characteristics of a good question and also the type of questions was the concluding part of the session. It was a truly enriching workshop by the veteran educationist.
The road ahead for NEP which seems complex was put forth in the simplest form.

Educational visit to the Regional Science Centre for students in classes VI to IX from the Indira Nagar Branch, was an exemplary blend of academic exploration and recreational enjoyment. The carefully orchestrated trip aimed to engage and educate students across various scientific disciplines while incorporating a picnic atmosphere, providing a holistic learning experience.

The tour commenced with an insightful introduction by knowledgeable guides who effectively tailored their explanations to suit the different age groups. The Science Centre, equipped with age-appropriate exhibits, captivated the attention of students from classes 6 to 9. The interactive displays catered to diverse learning styles, ensuring that each student could grasp scientific concepts in a meaningful and enjoyable way. One of the notable features of the visit was the emphasis on hands-on learning. Students actively participated in experiments and practical demonstrations that complemented their classroom studies. This interactive approach not only reinforced theoretical knowledge but also ignited a curiosity-driven enthusiasm for scientific inquiry.

The picnic aspect of the visit added a refreshing touch to the educational experience. The serene surroundings of the Science Centre provided an ideal setting for students to unwind, fostering camaraderie and relaxation. The well-organized logistics ensured that the picnic seamlessly integrated with the overall educational agenda, striking a balance between academic engagement
and leisure. Furthermore, the meticulous attention to safety and supervision underscored the institution’s commitment to the well-being of the students.

From transportation arrangements to on-site support, every detail was thoughtfully managed, ensuring a secure and enjoyable outing.

The educational and industrial visit to HCL IT City organised by Institution for the the students of class XI, Indira Nagar and LDA branches, proved to be a commendable initiative. The primary objective of gaining insights into the working and functioning of IT companies was well-executed.

The visit provided valuable insights into the operations of IT companies, allowing students to understand the industry’s dynamics and potential opportunities. The seminar on HCL’s Techbee program targeted at ISC aspirants was informative and well- presented. The interactive session facilitated a meaningful exchange of ideas and allowed students to engage directly with professionals, enhancing the learning experience.

The inclusion of a fun element in the form of a campus visit added a delightful touch to the overall experience. Students from both branches participated, fostering a sense of camaraderie. The visit successfully combined learning and enjoyment. It not only fulfilled its objective of providing knowledge about the IT industry but also created a positive and engaging environment for students. Such initiatives contribute significantly to holistic education. Overall, the event was well-planned, and the participants, including students and organisers, deserve commendation for their efforts in making it a meaningful and enjoyable experience.

In the spirit of fostering holistic student grow th, Spring Dale Institution proudly revived the B.S. Sood Memorial Volleyball & Basketball Tournament in 2023, a testament to the enduring vision of our founder father, Sir B. S. Sood. This annual sporting saga, initiated in 2002, serves as a vibrant platform for instilling the values of team work , discipline, and resilience. After a prolonged hiatus of five years due to the global pandemic, the tournament made a resounding come back.

Twelve enthusiastic teams competed for glory, in the Basketball Tournament hosted at our Indira Nagar branch and for Volleyball at our Kanpur Road branch.

In the girls’ Basketball category LPC Sahara States emerged victorious, clinching the coveted first place. Spring Dale Kanpur Road branch secured a commendable second position.

In the boys category Rajkumar Academy stood tall as the champions, displaying exemplary sportsmanship and prowess on the court. Spring Dale Indira Nagar team secured a well-deserved second place, adding to the institution’s laurels.

In both the girls and boys categories of the Volleyball Tournament Spring Dale College Kanpur Road branch emerged victorious.

The resumption of this iconic tournament not only celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship but also echoed the institution’s commitment to providing a holistic educational experience. The B.S. Sood Memorial Tournament continues to be a beacon of inspiration, nurturing not only athletic prowess but also fostering character and resilience among the student community.

Spring Dale College hosted a photography competition on 29 November, featuring a captivating exhibition of wildlife photos.

Dr. Anita Singh, an experienced wildlife photographer, led the judging panel, offering valuable insights into photography during the event. The exhibition showcased diverse and skillfully captured wildlife moments.

Dr. Singh not only judged the competition but also shared tips on composition, lighting, and ethical considerations in wildlife photography, enriching the educational aspect of the event. Overall, the competition provided a platform for enthusiasts to showcase their talent while promoting a deeper understanding of the art of wildlife photography.

Kanpur road branch organised an inter branch Kho-Kho Tournament on 18 November 2023. Imbued in full ardour all the players displayed great enthusiasm. Out of the three branches, Kanpur road branch girl’s team and Indira nagar branch boy’s team marked their glorious victory. Honourable director of Spring Dale College, Ma’am Sangeeta Midha graced the occasion with her presence. She blessed and conferred the winners with gold medals and cups and also with silver medals and certificates to all the players.
