The Krishna Sood Memorial Musical Theatre competition was held on October 21, 2024 at Sant Gadge Auditorium, Lucknow. Around 10 eminent schools of the city participated in the competition.
The Inter School Musical Theatre brought together talented young performers from various Schools to celebrate the art of musical theatre. The event aimed to honour the legacy of Krishna Sood a passionate advocate for the performing arts and provided a platform for students to show case their creativity and skills in front of an enthusiastic audience.
The event started with a beautiful prayer dance and welcome by the Director of the Institution Mrs Rita Khanna who shared memories of Krishna Sood and emphasized the importance of integrating arts and education .
Each school presented a unique musical performance reflecting the theme ‘Diverse threads, One tapestry’.
Each presentation was a vibrant exploration of music and drama with students showcasing their talent in acting singing and dancing. Notable input performance was presented by students of the host School. The judges comprising experienced theatre professionals and educators; Mr Gopal Sinha, Mr Puneet Asthana and Doctor NavSharan Singh evaluated the performances based on criteria such as creativity ,stage presence, vocal ability and choreography.
Each participant gave their best and celebrated the geographical social and cultural diversity of India and the winners were St. Joseph’s Montessori, Seth M.R Jaipuria & St. Joseph’s College.
