Life on earth probably would not have even begun if not for water. The theme for World Water Day for 2024 is “Water for peace”. To highlight the importance of water and raise awareness about global water crisis, World Water Day is celebrated on March 22, every year, as a means of focussing attention towards the fresh water and the need to preserve it.
The students celebrated World Water Day with engaging activities. Primary students created posters and learned about water conservation, while Kindergarten’ers took a “Save Water” pledge and did sponge dabbing.
Older students had discussions and activities emphasising the importance of water conservation, including writing slogans on raindrops and depicting the significance of each water drop.
These activities effectively conveyed the message of water conservation in an interactive way.
